Review of Premier Inn Stirling City Centre

Written by Karen Bryan

I stayed at the Premier Inn Stirling City Centre on a weekday night in early November 2015. The price was £35, booked a couple of months in advance on the non-refundable Premier Saver rate.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. It’s opposite the Vue cinema and a couple of restaurants. It’s a five-minute walk from the railway station and a wide selection of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. There’s a free car park.

I phoned the Premier Inn Stirling City Centre in advance to request a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the River Forth. Upon check-in the receptionist informed me that I’d also have a view of Stirling Castle, as the room had two windows. It was a bit of a murky morning, but you could just be able to make out the castle to the left on the horizon.

I was able to enjoy the view of the River Forth and the Wallace Monument (on a hill towards the left of the horizon) from the chaise longue by the back window.

The hotel opened a couple of years ago, but the rooms are still in very good condition.

It was so nice and quiet in the room, probably because the room had air-con and the windows didn’t open, so it was well sealed.

The bed was really comfortable. The room was a good size. Despite the cloudy morning, the room seemed bright due to the two windows.

If you can find a room at the Premier Inn Stirling City Centre for £35, or under, it offers good value for money in a central, but quiet, location with free parking.
