No Cheap Broadband Deals For Us

Written by Karen Bryan

eebroadbandAfter writing about how to get cheap broadband deals, I’m getting pretty frustrated that we can’t get any of these deals that I keep seeing advertised. TopCashBack.co.uk were promoting unlimited EE (formerly Orange) home broadband for Orange and T-Mobile customers for only £5 a month plus £14 monthly line rental. For another £5 a month you could get unlimited calls to UK landlines including 0845 and 0870 numbers. That came a total of £24 a month.

I phoned up to enquire about this offer. Instead of the anticipated £24 a month, EE quoted £39 for unlimited broadband, line rental and unlimited UK calls to landlines.

What annoyed me even more was that I didn’t even qualify for the T-Mobile customer discount, as I have a T-Mobile 1GB SIM data 30 day contract, but I was told that the discount only applies to mobile phone customers.

It was the same old story, no cheap broadband offers available in Berwick upon Tweed. I assume that there’s only serious competition amongst broadband providers in the most heavily populated areas.
