We have a new garden sculpture. I love it and what’s more it was free. My husband dragged the two pieces of wood up from the banks of the River Tweed. It’s a combination bird table and flowerpot holder. It just goes to show that you don’t need to spend a lot of money to add character and beauty to your garden. The wood was already well weathered, so didn’t require any treatment.

You can save more money on gardening, by cutting down your old wellies to make garden shoes. I’ve seen this type of outdoor shoe for sale for around £7.
