Using a Travelodge Discount Code

Written by Karen Bryan

I find that Travelodge consistently offers the lowest prices of any of the UK budget hotel chains; I’ve managed to book many rooms over the past few years at prices like £10 or £12 a night during Travelodge sales and promotions.  One way to save more on the price of your booking is to find a Travelodge discount code. Why pay the full price if you can save more? I always look for discount codes, in preference to cashback offers, as you never know if you will receive the cashback and even if you do, it usually takes months to be paid. You know what they say about “a bird in hand being worth two in the bush”.

You need to be sure of your dates before booking a Travelodge room on a Saver rate, as you pay when making the booking and you can’t get a refund. Unless the room is really cheap, it’s safer to book a flexible rate; although you still pay in full when booking, you can get a refund up until noon of the day of arrival if you need to cancel. As you’d expect, most of the cheapest Travelodge rooms are not available on Saturday nights or during peak periods. I find most of the lowest rates are from Sunday to Wednesday nights.

The majority of my stays at Travelodges have been very good. The company have moved away from concentrating on motorway service locations and have built or taken over hotels in many city centres. You even get free WiFi in the Bar Cafe of  UK Travelodges.
