Chunky Cheese Biscuits Recipe

cheese biscuits recipeWhen we were having our picnic lunch yesterday, some soup from the flask accompanied by cheese crackers, I thought that the (supposedly) cheese biscuits were overpriced (over £1 for 250 gr). I decided I’d try making some chunky cheese biscuits myself. So here’s my recipe for Cheese Biscuits, much tastier and money saving compared to the shop bought ones. I reckon that one of my biscuits is equivalent to at least 10 of these puffy “cheese” crackers.


  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 5 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 100 gr grated cheese
  • 150 gr porridge oats
  • 150 gr SR flour
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 50 ml milk
  • One egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Quarter teaspoon dried herbs

  1. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
  2. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
  3. Form into 15 balls and  flatten on the tray.
  4. Cook in preheated oven at 175 degrees C for 15 – 20 minutes.
